Kristen Walker – Stylist

Kristen is a native of California, where she trained at Marinello School of Beauty. After completing her licensing in 2010, she assisted the owner of a well-known Sacramento salon for a year, then went on to a chair of her own. Kristen and her family moved to Gig Harbor, Washington in 2013, where she joined an AVEDA salon team in Tacoma. After two years, she came further north to Bellingham and Sandalwood Salon and Spa. “I’m so happy to have joined the Sandalwood family. Everyone has welcomed me with open arms.” Kristen is glad to be able to continue her career with AVEDA. “AVEDA is a fantastic company. Not only are their products amazing, their ingredients are responsibly sourced and they strive to make a positive impact on the world.” Kristen specializes in thick hair, curly hair, dimensional color, styling, and special occasion styling. Her goal is to make every guest that walks in the door leave feeling centered, self-aware, and happy. Kristen lives in Blaine and enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, camping, binge-watching Netflix, solo trips to Target, adventure, and long conversations about nothing with her husband and their eleven year old son.
