Sharon is originally from Missoula Montana and moved to Bellingham in 1984. She attended the University of Montana on basketball and volleyball scholarships and studied special education.  After college Sharon went to beauty school in Missoula at Mr. Richs’ in 1982 and also competed in an “elegant evening hair up-dos” competition. She placed 1st on her team and 3rd in the state.  Sharon has worked with Toby and Aveda since 1997 and loves what it stands for; “healthy hair and a healthy environment”.  She has taken many continuing education classes thru Aveda and will continue to – “there is always something new to learn”.  Sharon’s hobbies include buying lots of treats for her Shih-tzu, kayaking in the lakes and the bay, camping, being with family, shopping with her mom and sisters and walking for cancer and other foundations. Before breaking her ankle Sharon played about every sport you can think of.  She has been doing hair for more than 25 years and still loves it!  “I love being a part of the Sandalwood Family!  We encourage and support each other.  I look forward to going to work each day.  I like being creative and I’ve learned so many life lessons in the salon. I love my clients, who are my friends and family and have made me a part of their families.  I’ve been thru births, graduations, marriages, divorces , sicknesses, and deaths, and I wouldn’t change a thing!”
